A female dog in season, an uncastrated male – does that work?

Many owners do not dare to ask and postpone their holiday instead. The answer is simple: yes, we take every dog, in season or not. All we need is to know beforehand.

Female dogs in season are welcome

Your dog is welcome at any time, at the usual price, and stays in a group like every other dog.

We simply put the group together differently: while she is in season, no male dogs are in it. That takes the stress off everyone involved, the female as much as the males.

And uncastrated males?

They live in the group here just like any other dog. The only restriction is the same one seen from the other side: not together with a female in season.

Let us know beforehand

This is the one point that really matters. Tell us with your enquiry whether your dog is in season – and also if her season might only begin during the stay. With that information we plan the groups correctly from the start instead of having to rearrange them mid-stay.

If the timing is uncertain

Cycles shift, especially with young dogs. Just tell us when her last season was and how often it usually comes. We will work out the rest.

If her season does fall during the stay, we notice it anyway and rearrange the group. Knowing in advance simply makes it smoother.

What else belongs in your enquiry

Character, food, medication and anything special. What your dog should bring is explained in What your pet should bring. How we put the groups together is explained on the page about the Dog boarding.
