What your pet should bring

The question comes up with almost every enquiry. The short answer: surprisingly little. We have the essentials here, and everything else we go through calmly at the handover.

What we always need

The vaccination record. We check it at the handover, keep it for the duration of the stay and hand it back when you collect your pet.

If your pet needs medication, please bring it in its original packaging together with a short written note on dosage and times. We take care of giving it reliably.

What helps your pet settle in

A familiar blanket, ideally straight from the dog bed or from your cat’s favourite spot. The familiar smell gives security in the first days especially. A favourite toy is welcome too.

Food is included with us

Standard food is included in the price, dry and wet food for dogs and cats alike. Only if your pet is on special food – puppy food, a prescription diet or a particular kind it is used to – please send it along. Otherwise we buy it and charge it separately.

Collar, tag and carrier

There is a separate article about collars: Collar and name tag. It explains what a dog can be led on safely and why every dog here wears an engraved tag.

Cats travel in their own familiar carrier. What matters when choosing one is explained in The right carrier for cats.

And if something is missing?

No problem. Tell us at the handover or call beforehand – we will find a solution.
